My hair never smells like my shampoo/conditioner. why?

Hey everyone. Okay so you know how people are always like 'smell my hair! it smells so good!' Yeah well for some reason..my hair never smells like my shampoo/conditioner. It's really weird and I'm not sure why it doesn't. My hair just smells..normal. Maybe it's the way I go about things?

- I take a shower using both shampoo and conditioner

- After I get out I dry out my hair a little with a towel

- brush my hair

- let it air dry

- go to bed with hair dry

Any help? Thanks :) 10 points for best answerMy hair never smells like my shampoo/conditioner. why?
maybe your shampoo doesn't have a strong enough smell so try a different one and make sure that conditioner is the same scent..also you have to make sure you wash your hair really well don't just do it fast you have to get it in your scalp and scrub good and then repeat cause the first time is really just to get all the dirtyness and stuff out of your hair and the second time really leaves the smell on your hair..and it's good that you air dry it don't use a blowdryer My hair never smells like my shampoo/conditioner. why?
I know right?! Same here.

I think it's one of 3 things:

a) You have a natural body odor, and although thats sounds kinda gross, it really just means that you smell a certain was (no nessesarily like B.O. ha ha) There's not much you can do about exept for look for certain shampoos that have the right scent for your ';smell'; and hair type.

b) You just can't tell that is smells a certain way because your nose just gets used to it and no longer recognizes the smell.

c) Other people use more shampoo then you do- maybe they need it because they smell bad =). If you want you can try using more shampoo/conditioner you can but don't over-process your hair.

Hope it helps!
thats normally what i do but i blow dry my hair indstead of air dry!!!!

haha anyways i think its maybe your shampoo doesn't have a strong scent (herbal essence works really good for smell!)

or its because your always wearing your hair (sounds weird) so your always smelling it and its not a new scent to you!

like walking in to a room with fragrance and after spending and hour or so in the the room you don't notice it as much as you did before!

haha maybe but im a little crazy

PEACE

Leaving conditioner in for awhile (3-5 minutes) definitely helps, as does the kind of shampoo and conditioner you use. Try the Suave professionals line - I always get compliments on the scent of my hair after using those.
depends on your shampoo...and yeah the same thing happens to me

i do the same thing as u do everyday and the next day it smells normal (to me) but my friends always say that it smells good :/ confusing :/
1.Do you use enough shampoo nd conditioner

2. Does your bed stink.

3.Does your shampoo and condition smell good.%26gt;try herbal essences

4.Use spray ad stuff that smells good in the morning or when you get ready.
Because you're used to the smell of your hair/shampoo scent so you don't smell it any more. Change your shampoo and you'll be able to smell it
It probably wears off while you're sleeping. If you really want it to smell like your shampoo/conditioner wash it in the morning and blowdry it.
Just try to scrub your hair really well with shampoo, then rinse well, and a coating of conditioner, Then whatever you do after that
It depends on what shampoo you use. Experiment with different shampoos until you find one that smells
Because thats what you wash it with.
Use the whole bottle.
maybe your shampoo doesnt have a scent or isnt strong enough
