Its probably the mixture of the oils with the conditioner thats drying out your hair, there may be a bad chemistry in both products.. try using the coconut or jojoba with the conditioner first and see what happens.... because say if you use the coconut with the conditioner and nothing happens and than try the jojoba with it and your hairs all messed up you'll know that the jojoba can't be mixed with the conditioner... idk, its just a guess tho, sorry I couldn't be of more help. my sister has the same kinda hair and idk bout the oil but she just uses this lotion stuff in her hair and it stays not dry for like 3 days
