Paul Mitchell products work for me. I have natural wavy/curly hair, it is very long and I used to have frizzy, electric(fly away) hair but I have been using Paul Mitchell products for over a year now and have had good luck.

Try them and see!Shampoo and conditioner?

  • Shampoo and conditioner help?

is it alright to use a different shampoo and conditioner?

i use herbal essences for normal hair shampoo, and sun silk conditioner for brown hair,

should i use the same shampoo and conditioner?Shampoo and conditioner help?
yeah, i use different Shampoo's and conditioners all the time.

in fact, i use 2 shampoo products and 2 conditioner products at the same time, and afterwards i spray it with sprays, it turns out really nice and glossy. i don't do it often. but it's good for my hair. so i would say its good to mix and match.Shampoo and conditioner help?
using the same shampoo and conditioner increase the result. like if you use the same brand of silky shampoo, you have a better chance of making your hair silky. but mixing them will still be okay.
You're fine. You are just using different combos that make your hair work. Not every product offers what you are looking for and some products are better than others... Do you and continue to have a beautiful head of hair!!!
it doesn't really matter because they all have the same basic ingredients help your hair. as long as it is working for your hair keep using the different kinds.
I don't think it really matters. I use whatever shampoo for normal hair and a conditioner now and again. I am a guy though to be fair lol
using products of the same brand will give you 100%of their potential for your hair.however, using different products won't do you any harm.hope i've been useful.
Nope i dont think it makes a difference! The only thing is they smell different! I recomend using aussi though, it's amazing! :D . hope i helped!
i mix shampoos and conditioners all the time.. you should switch it up every so often, so your hair doesn't get immune to a certain kind.
i dont think it does. :)
it doesnt really make a difference i dont think :)
    it should be fine

Pantene Hair Products has a special straightening shampoo and conditioner that I use that work really well. It also gets rid of frizz. I would also recommend getting a healthy infusions straightener for your hair. A good one to get would be the Wahl Healthy Infusions Hair Straightener. You can get it at Walmart for about 28$. This straightener doesn't damage hair and cooperates well with Pantene's straightening products. Hope This helps.

P.S. I put the links for both the shampoo/conditioner and the straightener below.

pantene pro-v has shampoo and conditioner that helps it be straigght(i think)

i use shampoo and conditioner for curly hair, cause my hair is curly, so i wouldnt really know that stuff. but i think my mom got some once. cause i remember running out of shampoo and first trying to get laurens but she was out too, so i got my moms
kerastase- bain oleo relax shampoo and oloe relax mask.

they cost a little more but are soo worth it and will last ages as there so consentrated.

also the oleo relax serum is great
Pantene has a few good ones. I like Always Smooth. Get the shampoo+conditioner and the regular conditioner. Works awesome! I've been using it for over 13 years now.
    Pantene.

I have really thick wavy hair and the shampoo

leaves my hair silky, smooth and straight.
One really good one that makes ur hair less wavy and easier to straighten is sunsilk.

but there isnt a shampoo or conditioner that straightens ur hair for you.

    Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight

I like Garnier Fruitis. It smells really good and always leaver your hair soft.

10 points best answer!! The best shampoo and conditioner?

Whick kind of shampoo and conditioner set is the best for damaged hair that wants to be soft and healthy. I have damaged hair from using hot tools all the time. redken all soft and or the redken smooth down

bumble and bumble coo cooa whatever it's called

and for a deep treatment i have aussie 3 min miracle the best adds tons of shine to my hair!

    hope this helps

%26lt;310 points best answer!! The best shampoo and conditioner?
Herbal Essences line. They have not only shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair, but other great hair shampoo and conditioner for straight, curly, frizzy, ect. hair. They have really good stuff !! I use it !!

    http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect鈥?/a>
I'd sayheadand shoulders or Herbal Essences
Any shampoo and conditioner from the Jessicurl line!
pantene. it makes ur hair soft and shiny, moustruized and silky sexy run ur fingers throo it smooth
Out of those particular brands, Redken's All Soft line is the best. Another brand that is fairly pricey is Joico K-PAK line. I would say that is the best out there for damaged hair.

Aussie's Deep 3-Minute Miracle is also worth giving a try.

Another tip is try going as long as you can without shampooing your hair, and just condition it. Shampooing your hair strips your hair of its natural oils which can make it dry or produce more grease than usual.

Do NOT use Pantene Pro-V. It might seem like your hair feels soft and shiny after using it, but their product coats your hair with wax that actually damages your hair more, but makes it seem like its healthier.
    bed head damage controll
aussie, bed head,or tressemme! i hope i helped and got the best answer! :)
    the Pink L'oreal!

    It works soo well
    homemade ones
just go to the salon and ask them........
toni %26amp; guy has a wonderful line for dry damaged hair. It is the oatmeal %26amp; honey set. It helped perform miracles on mine and my sisters hair last year.
I know that sunsilk has a great haircare line for just about any type of hair. They even have a specific line for each problem. I would definitely recommend it.
give the points to me :) thanks babe. love ya
I use KMS and it's the best shampoo and conditioner i have ever used i would never go back to anything else. They have a large range its just a matter of getting one that suits your hair type. Another great range is Tigi and you can get both of these online or in the salon.
I actually LOVE to mix conditioners. Aussie 3 minute miracle, and tresseme. I leave it in for like 5 minutes while I soap up, and I make sure I put A LOT in my hair.
tresseme is really good ..but thermasilk is amazing!!they're affordable and economic...but i don't think any kind of shampoo will fix damaged hair from hot tools..and from know on try using tools that are pure ceramic!(white ceramic preferably)
Biosilk therapy. because it makes ur hair nice and smooth. it is high quality and works great. also its really good for your hair. it makes it so that itd oesnt get damaged as easily trust me. i do hair and today i had 50 people buy a big bottle of each!
garnier fructis i had really bad hair and my friend suggested it to me and it worked out great.
Aveda--they have a whole line. I would recommend Damage Remedy for damaged hair. They also have products that protect hair from heat damage as well.

    Check it out at www.aveda.com

    Hair product help...shampoo and conditioner?

Hey. Okay I have long brown hair, that has never been dyed or highlighted...I guess you could say I have virgin hair. Its very shiny and always in good shape but I would like it to have more body I guess you could say...in the bottom.

I was wondering what would be the best, and somewhat cheapest shampoo and conditioner to buy to bring life to my hair as well as keeping the ends in shape. Could you help me out? Any good brands?

Thanks =)Hair product help...shampoo and conditioner?
I love Aussie. It has the best products, and it's somewhat cheap. You could also try ';Big Sexy Hair'; They also have good products except they are expensive! One way that makes the bottom of your hair look big is by getting it tapered.Hair product help...shampoo and conditioner?
I agree with Hazel, your ends need to be trimmed and shaped in order for your hair to look fuller. No product no matter how expensive or inexpensive it is will allow your ends to be fuller.

    Shampoo and conditioner?

I have been using Pantene for probably about 12 years now and I think I need a change, plus I hear it's bad for your hair anyway.

I need a shampoo and conditioner that will make my hair strong and healthy.

    Which ones would you recommend?

Also, are there any that can make hair straight? I have decided to ditch my straightener, but I cannot live with my ugly wavy hair.

If so please recommend me some brands/products.Shampoo and conditioner?
Use Biosilk!!! You can get it in any saloon and its just a few dollars more than Pantene. I use it and I am very anal about my hair, you know the type who gets trimmed every six weeks to the day...... or so. Get off store brand products, once you see and feel the difference you wont believe such results are out there. The reason Pantene is so bad for your hair is because it contains the same ingredients as floor wax, that why it makes your hair so shiny. If you decide to stick with store brand hair care. Try Nexus or Aussie.

    Good Luck

    SandraShampoo and conditioner?
im a Pantene user too, i believe since 7 yrs old, i did heard that you have to change your shampoo every 2 weeks. i've tried that but my hair really looks good when i use Pantene, so i stop doing that. but i do believe that Creamsilk is a great conditioner and you can also try to apply virgin coconut oil every twice a week to condition your hair, it's not yet a fact but some say that it also helps straighten your hair because of it natural content. use loreal product if ur hair is wavy, we have the same problem, anti friz product of loreal is helpful.
Sunsilk and dove for the supermarket varieties. Dove cleans hair but doesnt strip it of essential oils, keeping it strong. Sunsilk gets rid of build up caused by using the same shamp/cond for a long time. nu:u is good too, ha wick poet nd i dnt know it.

    hope thats helpful
i am using loreal for a couple of months and it is really good, i didn't get dandruff plus it is really good for my straight hair
why dont you get your hair permanently straightened. try loreal elvive the pink bottled one and also use the same conditioner. i have been using it for the last 3 years now and trust me it works wonder

  • Does dying the hair make it look thicker?...suggestion shampoo or conditioner?

that thickens strengthens hair?Does dying the hair make it look thicker?...suggestion shampoo or conditioner?
The answer is yes the hair dye chemiceal swell up the hair follicle and there for makes your hair appear thicker. How ever if you are looking for more permanent solution i would try Jason's thin to thick line. I get mine from vitamin cottage.Does dying the hair make it look thicker?...suggestion shampoo or conditioner?
If you try some voluming shampoos they might work, but if you have naturally thin hair then you can't rely do anything about it
The best way to get thicker looking hair is by getting is layered. Use any volumizing shampoo that also is a mosturizing shampoo.
    dyeing makes it thinner.
it makes it more ummm.. stiff and dry it will definatly not make it stronger it actually makes it weaker b/c the dye has strong chemicals in it. yo9ur better off using volumizing shampoo and conditioner. but to make your hair thicker i wouldnt recommomend dying it
Dying your hair makes it much more damaged , thickish, and more breakage. The best shampoo brand would be Redken. There products are of very high quality , and they even have special shampoo's and conditioners for color-treated hair. If you have a budget , then pantene-proV is also very good. And now they have special amino acids for color-treated hair , and all other types of hair . =)
dying your hair makes your hair extremely thinner so i would suggest using colour protect shampoo and conditioner and the special shampoo and stuff which gives your hair more body.

What would be the best shampoo and conditioner for me?

i have very fine and thin blonde hairWhat would be the best shampoo and conditioner for me?
The best thing for you to do is to buy professional products. You may thing it is to much money, but if you knew what ';Herbal Essence';, and so on are doing to your hair you wouldn't use it. (These products coat your hair shaft (outer layer of you hair) which causes your hair to become dull and discolored). The best product out there right now for blonde's is ';Redkin's'; blonde shampoo collection. I am a blonde and I use this ever day! This shampoo is designed for blonde's, it has toners in it that tone out the orange color that sometimes shows in blonde hair (this comes from hard water...). This stuff is so concentrated, you only need a drop and it covers your whole head.

Also when you shampoo your hair, wash/rinse it with cold water, this causes your hair shaft to close. Hot water only opens it more, which makes it less shiny. This is the same with skin, our pours open with hot water and close with cold.

I hope this works for you! What would be the best shampoo and conditioner for me?
I think Dove, but i have thick hair so i wouldnt know
A shampoo for you would be some that gives you body, and a conditioner to use is something that is light, not heavy. Heavy conditioners only weight your hair down and will make your hair oilier quicker. If you cannot find a light conditioner, use the conditioner only few times a week instead of everyday. Read labels before buying, some shampoos work with a compatible conditioner.
    Volumizing Pantene Pro V

    OR...

Volumizing Garnier Fructis...both inexpensive, and both great for your hair.

I also LOVE Dove's foaming conditioner it doesn't weigh your hair down at all...but keeps it soft and gorgeous!

PS...if you don't like those Aveda rosemary mint shampoo/conditioner are great...but a little more expensive.

Bio Ionic Shampoo and Conditioner?? Good OR not worth the money?

I am wondering if anyone has tried the shampoos and conditioners made by bio ionic. I have it but it doesn't seem to be as good as my cheap fantastic sams products. Also when using a flat iron does it do less damage if you have an expensive one like Chi or bio ionic.Bio Ionic Shampoo and Conditioner?? Good OR not worth the money?
I've tried Bio Ionic...its okay. I have relaxed hair so the brands that work best for me are Redken, Paul Mitchell and Nexxus. I use the kind formulated for chemically treated hair.Bio Ionic Shampoo and Conditioner?? Good OR not worth the money?
sunsilk shampoo is really good and not very expensive.....also, it doesnt really matter if you have an expensive flat iron, but it is better for your hair if it is a ceramic one--conair has some good ones.
You can get the generic shampoos made by Suave and they are EXACTLY the same. I have a ceramic flatiron from Sallys that is not a Chi and it works really well. I just use Rusk Thermal STR8 Ceramic Styling Spray before I straighten it. I did buy that at the salon though. The shampoo I got at walmart.

    Hi,

Because you have dry hair, it'll be hard to do that naturally. So I really do recommend investing in a hair mask. I used Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Remedy for the first time this morning (I have dry hair too) and my hair feels incredibly smooth and looks really shiny too. It's cheap and smells really nice as well! I intend to use it every week to really give my hair the moisture it needs!

Have a look at these websites for a few tips too:

    i don't have curly hair.
Apparently Deborah Messing (from Will%26amp; Grace) swears by his haircare products, and I think her hair looks fab, so go with it!
Yes, nothing special, I bought it because of magazines, next time I just check internet and I don't buy

Pantene Pro v or Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, which would you use. I'm a woman of color.?

Why these two? These are the two WORST shampoo and conditioners. They have an ingredient in them called panthenol that leaves a waxy coat on your hair. Sure it works good for the first few days. But by about 5-6 days, your hair starts to feel dry as HAY! Now, your hair is totally damaged. If you don't have time to go and buy solan products, try something like herbal essences, body envy. Another one is Aussie THE WAVE. It makes your hair soft without using harsh ingredients.Pantene Pro v or Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, which would you use. I'm a woman of color.?
    Tresemme all the way

Hi im a woman of color and i tryed both i used the pantene woman of color relaxed and natural trash sooo bad i thew it out then i went to sunsilk..to Tresemme wow really good then i went form tresemme to redken now the redken conditoner that i use i dont like it i have colored treated hair and today i had to go back to the new tresemme color conditionr i''ve never tryed the color one from tresemme and i love it i bought it today!!! really goodPantene Pro v or Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, which would you use. I'm a woman of color.?
    Definitely Tresemme.

I tried Pantene Pro V... The Relaxed and Natural line and they're filled with petroleum/mineral oil. Who the hell put those ingredients in shampoo? Like, seriously.

But now I use Tresemme's moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and it works GREAT! It makes my hair really soft, and seriously my hair's never been in better condition. (And of course it isn't from the shampoo/conditioner alone, but they do help and play an important role.)
I think either one could be good for you. Are you familiar with any of the ingredients? It's good to keep track of which ingredients your hair likes and doesn't like, then you can buy shampoos and conditioners more suited to your own particular head of hair.
dontuse pantene, it leaves a waxy build-up and is actually bad for your hair, you should probably buy proffessional products
Tresemme, hands down. Their products really have been/are used in salons. My own stylist recommends them even over the products in her salon (she is the owner/manager).
umm i am black and white and Ive used both but i love Pantene though.tresseme is good also
I use Pantene... have u tried the ';relaxed and natural'; line? its made specifical for the hair of women of color.
I use Tresemme and I find that it does work for my hair.

Recently I just bought the shampoo conditioner and mositurizer. My hair was hard as a brick. Took everything back. I would say pass!
Farm %26amp; pet supply stores. Not sure how much it costs.
I used it for years, and I didn't have any acceleration in my hair growth.

It's availability to you depends on the area you live in, I live in KY so it is sold at Wal Mart here...

It is very INEXPENSIVE, so if you wanna try it it won't hurt your wallet, around $2/bottle. It didn't have any ill effects on my hair either, but like I said I didn't see any growth stimulation from it, but the conditioner made my hair feel nice.

The bottles are very large and white with brown horses on them.

    Good luck!!

    Beautiful lengths shampoo and conditioner?

does pantene pro-v beautiful lengths shampoo and conditioner really work? ive heard that pantene damages your hair but the beautiful lengths is supposed to be so good, and i see it advertised evvverywhere!..Beautiful lengths shampoo and conditioner?
Yes! It makes my hair really strong, soft, and shiny!!Beautiful lengths shampoo and conditioner?
yes it does! it is AMAZING

i have it and it makes your hair SO SO soft

    it's TOTALLY worth it!!!

Why do shampoo and conditioner bottles have Directions on them?

Don't you know how to wash your hair???... lolWhy do shampoo and conditioner bottles have Directions on them?
Word! Why do shampoo and conditioner bottles have Directions on them?
    Lawyers!
I know, it does seem a bit odd, but they are there for a purpose. Seems strange but I bet there have been lawsuits over that kind of thing. You'd be suprise what people are willing to sue for. Some people are nuts.

I know it's common sense. It's not like someone is going to pick up a shampoo bottle and be like, ';Great, what the hell am I supposed to do with this thing?'; but seriously, they have to cover themselves.
Because if they didn't the people who voted for Bush twice would pour it on their corn flakes and eat it and then wonder why their hair wasn't getting clean.
So an idiot doesnt try to chug down the whole bottle and clain he didnt know what it was used for. Sueing purposes im sure
    consider the people reading them
must be a liability thing with the manufacturers!!
    for the some that dont
    Just in case...

Herbal Essences, Garnier Fructis, Tresemme, or Aussie? Which shampoo and conditioner is best?

Hey you guys! So, I am currently using Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. I'm gong to switch not because I don't like it, just to switch around and try different products. So, can I have some advice and which brand I should get? And I want some evidence too which is bad and which is good. THANKS!!!Herbal Essences, Garnier Fructis, Tresemme, or Aussie? Which shampoo and conditioner is best?
the tresemme smooth silky conditioner is great it leaves hair nice smooth smell good also Aussie moist shampoo and conditioner is also very good it leaves hair hydrated nice soft you should give a try both products.Herbal Essences, Garnier Fructis, Tresemme, or Aussie? Which shampoo and conditioner is best?
I love herbal essences!! my got ruined by garnier and pantene. and hebal esencess does have some choices to choose from but the best ones are dangerously straight, body envy and hydralicious and u can pick between them but if you dont want then u could alsways do the quiz on their site and figure out what herbal essecnces shapoo and conditioner u need!! heres the site:

    http://www.herbalessences.ca/en_CA/default.jsp
Aussie. All drugstore shampoo and conditioner is bad for your hair, it is way too harsh and coats your hair with wax. But of all the junk in a drugstore Aussie is the best. They use less chemicals and wax, opting for more natural ingredients. So Aussie is just easier on your hair.
All of those brands are prefered because they smell nice, but I'm going to be honest with you: none of them work that well.

I used to use herbel essences and it never worked well, but then I switched to dove pro moister. Amazing stuff! It doesn't smell all fruity or anything, but it works flawlessly. Hair feels smooth after just shampooing!
herbal all the way! it smelles amazing and it makes your hair shiny, and it looks better
i use herbal essences and it works great i would recommend trying it out
I'm using Tresemme right now. It works really well.

What are the cheapest shampoo and conditioners that gets the job done?

My hair tends to be dry, even more so because I get it colored. I started buying products from the salon, which work better than the Suave I had been getting at the supermarket, but are there any less-expensive brands that are as good as the high-priced salon ones? What are the cheapest shampoo and conditioners that gets the job done?
I used to buy the expensive brands as well because I too color my hair. But, my hairdresser stated that I didn't have to buy those brands. She said that VO5 was one of the best out there. Look for the ones that say for color treated hair...(She told me to think about this: It has been around forever and there was a reason for it-it works.)What are the cheapest shampoo and conditioners that gets the job done?
    vo5 and herbal essences
    Go for Pantene.
White Rain...works as well as any other famous brand
Herbal Essenses works really well and does'nt cost much.
    sunsilk.
well who ever u r go 2 family discount ot wallgreens or cvs those r the cheapist.
Herbal Essence (orchid and coconut milk) ';Hello, Hydration'; is the name - it is absolutly awesome! I have very dry, frizzy hair- but mousse, spray etc. make my head itch...I used this and it leaves it silky smooth (not oily, though) and I love it. It cost about $3.50 at Drugmart!
now at target you can get some of the salon ones they carry alote now paul mitchell is a good one works great smells good and is easy on the wallet hope this helps!!
Suave and White Rain are among the cheapest. VO5 is too, but it can bother a person's scalp.
i use garnier fructisse...it costs like 2.89 or something at target- and totally does a good job. I have really long, thick hair so it dries out if i wash and condition it every day- as a compromise price-wise, i splurged and bought a bottle of matrix biolage spray-on leave in conditioner. It totally solved my problem. I think it cost about ten dollars and is a HUGE bottle that I can use after i shampoo/condition to keep my hair from drying out, but without having to spend tons of money on salon shampoo and conditioner. (I have used these products and had the same dry-hair issues.)

Spending money on ONE item that works really well is totally worth it, and it makes sense to spend less on the things that don't make as much of a difference.

If you don't want to stoop as low as garnier fructisse- Matrix Biolage is available at Target and those cheap beauty supply stores at the mall. It is sort of moderately priced and available in bulk. (smells nice, too)
sorri but i dont think you are gnah get supermarket priced salon quality shampoo and conditioner check out these websties that could help you -

Pert shampoos usually are 2 in 2, (Conditioner and shampoo), and their cheap. SO it's like buying both in one bottle, and i like pert more than any shampoo ive tried. It makes your hair kinda shine, but gets the oily look out really well too.

  • Using conditioner as shampoo?

okay i have natural non-permed african hair which i usually wash once a week, and i've heard that if i want my hair to be really moisturized i should wash it with conditioner only, not shampoo.

so now i'm thinking of washing it with conditioner once a week, but once a month washing with shampoo AND conditioner.

what do you think?Using conditioner as shampoo?
Dont do that! as someone who has been a hairdresser all her life take it from me girlfriend you do NOT wanna do that. The shampoo is what takes out all the grit and dirt from your hair. the conditioner keeps it slick n shiny. if you really want that conditioner effect just buy a hair serum from TIGI or Wella or a leave-in conditioner. but dont wash with only shampoo else your hair will fall out. the leave-in conditioner i use is Ego Boost from Bed Head TIGI. its expensive but its totally worth it. it repairs split ends and it prevents further splitting.

also you need to wash your hair 2ice or 3ice a week. no more no less.Using conditioner as shampoo?
ive been thinking about that 2, i heard one girl call it milk washing? i think thats what she called it.. but yea, ima try that 2... i actually have done that a few times and my hair was really soft, and i think washing it the once a month would work really well
Well shampoo is what cleans it, so i would recommend using shampoo and conditioner 2-3 times a week at least. And if you want really moisturized. Then use a DEEEEP conditioner once a week. But yeah.. if you want CLEAN hair, then this is what you should do.
Please dont do that! You need to cleanse your hair and conditioners just dont do it. Especially with black hair, people think we shouldnt wash our hair often but its ok to as long as you in ADDITION condition it well. If your seeing that you have a moisture problem try a moisturizing shampoo and when you condition your hair put on a shower cap for about 10 min and let the heat from your scalp help the conditioner really penetrate the hair cuticle. Also try hot oil treatments every month. But you definately need to shampoo your hair atleast weekly.

What are some good shampoo and conditioners?

I am a male with wavy hair that I'm growing out. It seems that as it gets longer the ends become more brittle and dry out. I'm looking for a hydrating shampoo and conditioner that will help keep my hair healthy as it lengthens. (Preferably something reasonably priced)What are some good shampoo and conditioners?
Aussie brand products are good and aren't to expensive. What are some good shampoo and conditioners?
I bleach my hair AND straighten it(EVERYDAY!)

After years and years of buying expensive products and chemical treatments to maintain or at least try to keep it healthy THEY DID NOT WORK!

My hair wouldnt grow because it would break and it was really dry and nasty...so i did this:

1)Skip shampoos!! Dont shampoo your hair EVERY SINGLE DAY!

    BUT do condition it!

2)Put Mayo on it. It sounds gross but damn does it work!!

Every week or twice a week apply mayo on your hair for about 10-20 mins. It repairs and nourishes your hair. (so its not ugly and brittle)

3)Avoid hairsprays and gels they contain A LOT OF ALCOHOL which damages your hair.

and as for your question about a shampoo, try VIVE pro.(Hydro gloss)

    Its by L'oreal paris

it comes in a yellow bottle

SMELLLS AWESOME AND IS VERY AFFORDABLE!

if you are looking for a good shampoo and conditioner then stop searcing. because there is no such thing as good shampoo or conditioner all are chemically created which is not good for your hair. you can use eggs, almond oil, curd or milk to condition your hair. to clear your hair you can use herbal shampoo not too often

Don't blow dry, and always use conditioner, after you shampoo.

The elements can take a toll on your hair, wind, sun and damage it just as much as heat styling.

Dove is an affordable option, so is Burts Bees.
I use Herbal Essence (for women but my brother uses it sometimes lol)

    i love it

    If you're willing to try I recommend ';Hello Hydration';
You should get a the dove shampoo and conditioner. it always makes my soft and helps prevent split ends.
Auzie or however u spell it i use ganier omg u kno wat im talkin bout lol i cannot spell!!!

Who else uses up all the conditioner and ends up with loads of shampoo and no conditioner? :|

I always use up more condition or than I do shampoo and end up at the end with no conditioner and loads of shampoo - does anyone else?!Who else uses up all the conditioner and ends up with loads of shampoo and no conditioner? :|
Yeah, sometimes. Ahahah.Who else uses up all the conditioner and ends up with loads of shampoo and no conditioner? :|
i do the opposite, i never use conditioner, my hair is naturally oily. so i wind up buying 4 bottles of shampoo for each bottle of conditioner
I'm the opposite.. I use all the shampoo and end up with more conditioner. When i go shopping i buy 2 shampoo and 1 conditioner..
I'm the opposite! I always use up the shampoo and always have lots of conditioner left!
Me too!! I think its because the shampoo gets all full of suds and bubbles and expands like an alien blob and the conditioner is just kinda there....
I gots dreads, I just use dread soap ^_^

When I did have normal hair, yes, I always had tons of shampoo left, I dont get how cause I use them equally yet, I run out of conditioner first.
    I do.

The conditioner bottle is 239578230 times smaller than the shampoo bottle...
    Never use conditioner

makes my hair too soft and unmanageable
Its the other way around here, use more shampoo and have lots of conditioner.
Me because i use the conditioner to shave aswel. :)
    Whats Conditioner?
yes, thats why i always buy the bigger bottle of conditioner :D
We always end up with no shampoo and all conditioner
everyone bc shampoo just cleans it but evryone wants really soft hair so we automatically use tons of it.
yer all the time because i like my hair 2 be soft so i use a lot of conditioner :)
    Sometimes so, yes.
No for me it's usually the other way round. I do two shampoos to one conditioner when I wash my hair.
Oh I do.... So I get 2 bottles of conditioner and 1 shampoo.
For me it's the other way around. I'll trade you my half full bottles of conditioner for your shampoo.
lol....with me its always the other way around...I have more Conditioner left!!

i do that all the time b cuz i condition my hair twice lol.
    *Raises hand*
its kinda the opposite for me ( =
I do that all the time. It's really annoying.
    yup.all the time
    i'm the opposite.
Yes ME ME ME Soooooooo true isn't that always the problem?
    meeeeeeee i doooo
    yes, me
most of the time yes but i try not to

Can i use pantene smooth & sleek conditioner with head & shoulder shampoo?

    hey,

guyz i was wondering if i use pantene smooth %26amp; sleek conditioner with head %26amp; shoulder will it damage my hair more?

because everyone shampoo have different chemical in it right

is it okay to use different company conditioner with different company shampoo? or should we alwayz use same conditioner %26amp; same shampoo? Can i use pantene smooth %26amp; sleek conditioner with head %26amp; shoulder shampoo?
its true that you shouldnt mix sum shampoos and conditioners. but ive used these together and your hair wil be fine. they dont hav any chemicals that will harm your hair if used togetherCan i use pantene smooth %26amp; sleek conditioner with head %26amp; shoulder shampoo?
It shouldn't be a problem to use pantene with head and shoulders or a different conditioner with any other shampoo. Hair dressers often recommend to change the hair products that you use to give your hair a break.

If you hair is really damaged you might want to try shampooing every other day (it sounds like you scalp and hair might need to restore it's natural oils)

Or even better, try some natural (herbal) shampoos and conditioners.
you can but you know pantene pro-v is known for the amount of chemicals they have in there. scientists wonder why they let pantene still be on the shelves. it makes your hair silk smooth (i loved it for a while and was a huge fan, trust me, but after learning the things i learned about pantene, i switched to organic a long time ago) but it's only because it builds on wax over your hair strands. and causes build-ups in your hair.

head %26amp; shoulders is a good shampoo and conditioner! you should use that for both :) i always mix %26amp; match sometimes too; i dont think its bad as long as it works well for your hair and doesn't damage it. its never damaged my hair.
Of course! Even though they have different chemicals they all have the same basic ingredients, which are what your hair really needs, the extras are just perks. Companies tell you that you have to use the same ones just so you will buy only their products, but of course it does'nt really matter.
No. You don't need to always match your shampoo and conditioner. Have you ever had your hair washed at a salon? My grandmother is a beautician and she hardly ever uses matching shampoos and conditioners. The chemicals will not damage your hair. You'll be just fine.
You are perfectly okay all you have to do is put them in your hair and scrub! Believe me my sister has those exact products and her hair is long, soft, and beautiful.
Thats fine, it doesnt really matter if you use different companies, still the same item/product.
sure i dont see why not.
yep i do it all the time and my hair is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l !!!!

Is fudge beach bum shampoo and conditioner any good?

    Herbal Essences is GREAT.

    It's for all hairtypes!

I used to use the straight kind, because my hair is straight, but I was allergic to a substance in it and I got bad dandruff, so make sure to read the bottle to see if you are not allergic to any of the substances in it.

    :)
i have wavy hair and i got this shampoo and conditioner from cvs called mark anthoney called strictly curls. It's in yellow bottles and smells like lemon vanilla. Then you should by his d- frizz serum, and its great!

i carry out my blood cpr but every thing is normal

so why my hairs are so damage puffy?I have so rough damage puffy hair i tried lot of shampoos conditioner homemade tips but no result?
It could be from the humidity in the air, or maybe by using alcoholic hair products which dry out hair, or maybe it just needs EXTRA conditioning.

You should try deep conditioners, oil treatments, leave in conditioners, and moisturizing hair products!

Good luck and hope i helped =]I have so rough damage puffy hair i tried lot of shampoos conditioner homemade tips but no result?

    Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

I looking for the best shampoo and (leave-in) conditioner for my hair. I'm mostly African American and when my hair gets wet its long and curly but then it poofs up when it starts to dry. I want my hair to stay in that wet curly condition but looking for the best product for that.Best Shampoo and Conditioner?
I'm a big fan of the garnier fructis products. they have a large variety for many Hair types and a big selection of styling products. It's good stuff. Reasonable priced too around 4-6 dollars a bottle depending on the size.Best Shampoo and Conditioner?
ok, first off, you have to start off with a moisturizing oil, like vo5 hot oil is excellent, then when you rinse that try the revlon nutrive hydrating shampoo, and then after that try the revlon nutrive hydrating leave in conditioner. bet you wont know your hair after first use, i recommend these products to the world
Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine makes a great product for this called garnier fructis sleek %26amp; shine leave-in serum. it's great because its silicone based, which smooths the cuticle of the hair down. in other words, it reduces frizz and makes your hair super shiny. and a little goes a long way!

hope i helped! i really reccomend this and hope you try it :]
Nexus Shampoo and Nexus Conditioner. It is sold at Walmart Super Center's. They even have Nexus Conditioner that you can apply to your even when it is dry.
    i personally LOVE garnier fructis ';sleek %26amp; shine';

it has really helped me %26amp; got rid of a lot of the frizziness in my hair %26amp; ive been using it for quite a few years

Poll: Regular shampoo or shampoo with conditioner?

    Shampoo with conditioner

(:Poll: Regular shampoo or shampoo with conditioner?
Let me answer your question with the following.

If your going to give your car a good wax job are you going to use a car wash with the wax in it or are you going to first wash your car and then wax it. Then why would you do that to your hair.

When you think about it how can you wash and condition at the same time. One is for cleaning and the other is for conditioning. If you have a conditioner in the shampoo how is it suppose to clean the hair properly.

It is always better to keep your shampoo and conditioner separate .

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 30 years.

Hope this helps.Poll: Regular shampoo or shampoo with conditioner?
    i like regular better.

the 2-in-1 stuff usually doesnt work as good for me
regular shampoo I heard the latter was bad for your hair. i forgot why.
    Regularrrr.
    2 in 1 isn't as good a regular.

For me, when I use only shampoo and don't condition, my hair gets all dry and crazy and will NOT work, and it does the same thing for me when I use 2 in 1.

So I just use regular, then condition.
    regular shampoo.

conditioners are able to cause scalp acne because it clogs pores.
    Regular shampoo.duhh!

Does mane n tail shampoo and conditioner make hair grow fast? ?

when do u see the results? first use, next week, etc. thanks! :DDoes mane n tail shampoo and conditioner make hair grow fast? ?
Get yourself a good multi vitamin... hair is dead and a waste product of the body... taking a vitamin will also help your skin and nails... shampoo and conditioners are all external chemicals... conditioners just coat the hair and makes it look good til it is shampooed off... they don't heal hair... shampoos wash off dirt... simple!

Hopthis helpeded:-)))Does mane n tail shampoo and conditioner make hair grow fast? ?
I don't know if it makes it grow FAST, but I have a friend who has used it forever, and she has the longest, healthiest, most beautiful hair I've ever seen.

Whats the difference between shampoo and conditioner? when to use each? when are both used together?

Shampoo cleanses. Conditioner moisturizes and repairs. Depending on the brand, your shampoo can also repair, you conditioner can also smooth, etc.

If your shampoo says it can be for daily use, use it daily in the shower. After you shampoo, condition your hair.

If your shampoo doesn't say it's for daily use, use it every other day and condition every day.

Shampoo and conditioner should be thought of as a pair, not as separate things like you seem to view them as..Whats the difference between shampoo and conditioner? when to use each? when are both used together?
This seems like an obvious answer but there's a little more to it than just ';cleaning'; and ';conditioning'; the hair. First of all, shampoo should be used first followed by the conditioner.

Shampoo is designed to cleanse the scalp and hairshaft. If you were to look at the hair shaft through a microscope, it would resemble the skin of a snake. Many tiny ';scales'; overlap each other. This is called the cuticle layer of the hairshaft. It is between these ';scales'; that dirt and oil get trapped. Most shampoos are alkaline pH balanced. The alkaline pH balance forces the scales to lift open a little bit so the dirt and oil can be rinsed away. The bad thing here is that the ';scales'; never really close back down completely after they have been opened. Therefore, you want to search for a shampoo that is low in alkaline pH. Talk to your hairstylist for the brand that will fit your personal needs.

Conditioners are designed to smooth the cuticle layer back down after the shampoo process. During the process of smoothing the cuticle layer down, the detangling process naturally occurs. The added bonus here is that a well chosen conditioner will add shine and bounce to your hair. For extra shine and to reduce frizz, you should rinse the conditioner with cool or tepid water. I know this may be hard to do in the shower, but this is where the removable shower head comes in handy.

If you were to think of the conditioner as a type of wax, the cool water rinse makes a lot of sense. Hot water causes the conditioner to heat up and slide all over the hair. Including the scalp, which causes your hair to lack body and can lead to a greasy scalp. Now, if you were to imagine rinsing away the conditioner with cool water, it would allow you to rinse away the excess conditioner and ';lock in'; the conditioner that your hair needs. Plus, the cool water will also help the cuticle layer to close tighter which means you will have more shine. Never rinse with COLD water, this can shock the cuticle layer of the hair and actually force the cuticle to remain open. The result is dry and frizzy hair. The temperature should be a tad bit cooler than the temperature of a baby's bottle.

Because the cuticle scales must first be lifted to rinse the dirt and oil, then laid back down to smooth the cuticle layer, it is never a good idea to use a 2-in-1 shampoo %26amp; conditioner. In addition, conditioners carry a neutral pH which helps to counteract the high pH of the shampoo and bring your hair back to a normal pH.Whats the difference between shampoo and conditioner? when to use each? when are both used together?
Shampoo is a cleaner for your hair, and you use this after your hair is wet, and after you rinse that out, you put in the conditioner, which basically strengthens your hair. Then you rinse that out. But always use the shampoo first, and do it about 3 times, for a good clean, and then after you rub in the conditioner, you should scrub up, rinse off, and then rinse out the conditioner, so it has time to penetrate your hair. You should use both of these about every 2-3 days, once.

    Hope this helps!!
Wow! Your parent's missed a few lessons!

Shampoo takes the oils out of your hair and cleans it,

Conditioner puts new oils in your hair and makes it softer and stronger, Always use shampoo and then conditioner, they are only used together in 2-1 shampoo %26amp; conditioners which are not as good for your hair.
Shampoo is any various liquid or cream preparations of soap or detergent used to wash the hair and scalp. Conditioner is one that conditions, especially an additive or application that improves the quality or usability of a substance. First you use shampoo, then you use conditioner. You may want to leave the conditioner in for a minute or two. You can use them together if you buy a 2-1 Shampoo and Conditioner. It will come in one bottle, but it does both for your hair, and saves you a time!
Shampoo washes and cleans your hair. Conditioner makes it softer, untangles it, shinier, and healthier looking! You use shampoo first then conditioner. You can buy them Shampoo w/ conditioner in it but it really doesn't work well!
shampoo cleans and conditioner makes hair better (for dry hair etc,) use shampoo first then conditioner, i use them both together coz their the same products (but ones shampoo and ones conditioner) and it said to use them both together on the packaging.
Shampoo is for your scalp %26amp; conditoner is for your hair. Yes. to put the moisture back in.
All the answers are correct. However, you should definitely only use shampoo once, not two or three times. It dries out your hair, so be sure to use more conditioner than shampoo.

You should only go back and wash your hair with shampoo a second time if you feel your hair is particularly dirty from swimming, or anything of that sort.
    - shampoo cleanses the hair of dirt while conditioner puts back moisture taken from constant washing, drying and styling

    - shampoo 1st, (twice if you want) completely rinse out, and use a small blob of conditioner and run it from lengths to tips. It is normally unessary to put it on the roots

-they should never be used together. Its a waste of time. Shampoo and conditiners (2 in1) are pointless waste of money. The shampoo in the product washes the conditioning effects away before it has a chance to even penetrate.
Shampoo cleans. Conditioner conditions. Use shampoo and then conditioner. They are never used together... unless you buy a two-in-one.
one cleans the other makes it softer?

What shampoo and conditioner brand, you use ?

i use head and shoulders brandWhat shampoo and conditioner brand, you use ?
Frizz ease by Paul mitchellWhat shampoo and conditioner brand, you use ?
I like to switch it around a lot, because I feel that it works better for my hair that way. After awhile, I feel as if my hair gets used to a particular shampoo and conditioner so it doesn't work as well, so I switch.

Right now, I'm using Herbal Essences.

I also like to use Tre Seme (not sure if I spelled that correctly lolz).
I'm not sure if they have it in North America, because I seriously don't pay attention that much there, but the one I'm using here (in Europe) is Palmolive :) It works amazing, it gives your hair so much shine and it really makes your hair soft and touchable. No dandruff problems or dry/greasy problems with it so far *fingers crossed!* Good luck! :)
    herbal essences,

  • Organix Shampoo and conditioner?

Are they actually really good for the hair since they don't have all those bad chemicals and are supposedly made with natural oils?Is that even true? And which shampoo of Organix would you recommend for long, dry, course, thick, wavy, frizzy hair.It was confusing because non of the shampoo's said what hair type it was for it, just listed the ingredients. I was sort of interested in the Coconut Milk shampoo but I'm not sure if thats the right choice?Organix Shampoo and conditioner?
My mom and I use Organix coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. It is really good. Your hair turns silky and soft. You should try it. It's worth itOrganix Shampoo and conditioner?

Hair Help...what to do with shampoo and conditioner?!?

    Here's the deal:

I have wavy/naturally curly hair that can often become very frizzy easily. It is colored all the time.

Here's the deal...what should I do in washing my hair? I do not wear my hair curly and wavy daily and often like to straighten it.

I prefer using Garnier Fructis hair products. Would it be best to alternate shampoo and conditioner lines? Like on days I want my hair curly use Curl and Shine shampoo and conditioner and on other days use the color treated shampoo and conditioner, or should I mix them up? I currently just use Sleek and Shine.

Thanks!Hair Help...what to do with shampoo and conditioner?!?
Well, I have the same problem, except I do wear mine curley. I was my hair with Conditioner every day, but only wash it with Shampoo every other day. That way it gets cleaned, but (we both know) it needs moisture more. But, ALWAYS use conditioner even if you do shampoo it everyday. I use Curl reviving or moisturizing shampoos AND conditioners. Good luck! I hope my advice was helpful.Hair Help...what to do with shampoo and conditioner?!?
You do not have to shampoo your hair everyday, try cowash, that is using conditioner only. visit blackhairmedia.com. lots of information about hair and the ladies are very helpful.

    Shampoo and conditioner brands?

what is the best brand of color/died hair enhancing shampoos and conditioners? (i have brown hair)Shampoo and conditioner brands?
I don't dye my hair, so this is not from my own experience, but Garnier 'color shield' and John Frieda 'Brilliant Brunette' might really work. I've tried John Frieda before and the result was amazing. ^-^Shampoo and conditioner brands?
Well my mom dies her hair alot cause her hair's getting gray cause of her age %26amp; she uses Garnier Fructis for Color Treated Hair, %26amp; ever since she started using that, her color has been staying longer %26amp; she's had shinier hair.
Its called Swartzkopf and it is amazing shampoo and conditioner that kept the dye in for longer than it had ever before.

And I too also have brown hair :]
    Biolage. For sure.
    Garnier
If you want your color to last, you shouldn't use drugstore brands. Redken Clear Moisture works for me.

Has anyone used the new sunsilk shampoo and conditioner?

what did you thinkHas anyone used the new sunsilk shampoo and conditioner?
I bought the anti poof shampoo, conditioner, and masque, and we're very pleased with them. I like them because they have a nice scent, and are not overly feminine smelling (I don't like smelling perfumy or flowery, lol). Anyway, good stuff for the price. The shampoo lathers up really well, so you only need a little.Has anyone used the new sunsilk shampoo and conditioner?
the shimmer stuff is awesome...even if you straighten and everything Report Abuse

no i haven't used it but I'm planing on .
no but i wnna get it
Didnt like it. It left my hair feeling rough and frizzy.
yes, I would suggest it to anyone. It's worth any penny for anyone who has any type of split ended rough hair (like mine lol)

    Try It....You'll LOVE IT

Ok so i have frizzy n wavy hair what happens if i just wash with a mosturizing conditioner n no shampoo?

it smells funny but doesn't frizz as muchOk so i have frizzy n wavy hair what happens if i just wash with a mosturizing conditioner n no shampoo?
Dont. You need to use shampoo to remove build up and this will make your hair frizzy, smelly, and pretty gross. Just use a shampoo and conditioner for wavy hair. This should help condition and define the waves. Next use a leave in conditioner this helps with frizz. Also style your waves with different products. Here are some things i like:

Loreal Vive Pro (pink bottle with pearl protein complex) shampoo and conditioner.

Herbal Essance Long Term Realtionship Leave in conditioner

Sunsilk Hydra TLC leave in conditioner

    Herbal Essance Curls Mousse

Sunsilk Curl Gel and Cream Twist.

LA Looks Curls Gel (take a little bit and scrunch in dry hair. This gel makes your waves defined and not crunchy)

Ok so i have frizzy n wavy hair what happens if i just wash with a mosturizing conditioner n no shampoo?
You'll get oily, frizzy, and wavy hair. Try putting baby oil on it before you wash it. Let it soak in for about five minutes, then wash and condition.
